This time, we are quaking in our boots about a great piece of wearable technology called The Pilot. The device(s) are worn in the ears of two people who wish to converse but do not speak each others’ language. It then translates their conversations in real time, which is pretty magical.
The devices are being introduced at a pre-order trial price of £90 and I want one (them), even if it spells doom for language teachers. All we will be left to teach are slang, puns and innuendo, can’t wait!
