Learn a language, gain a soul (and the ability to make more rational decisions)

In a recent paper by a research team at the University of Chicago, Boaz Keysar suggests that we may not make decisions on how they are framed, rather than the best outcome, when they are presented to us in a familiar second language.
I can happily confirm that it is entirely possible to make a poor decision when given a choice in an unfamiliar second language.
